Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Tigris (“the App”) is built with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App. The short version: your data stays on your device.

2. Data We Collect

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Food entries: Meals and snacks you log, including food names, calorie counts, and macronutrient values (protein, carbohydrates, fat)
• Weight measurements: Body weight entries you record over time
• Profile information: Age, sex, height, weight, activity level, and nutrition goals you provide during onboarding or in settings
• Chat history: Conversations with the on-device AI coach

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this data on external servers. All data remains on your device.

3. On-Device AI Processing

The App uses Apple Foundation Models for its AI coaching features. All AI processing happens entirely on your device through Apple’s on-device intelligence framework. Your food descriptions, chat messages, and nutritional queries are never sent to cloud servers for AI processing.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• No location data
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No advertising identifiers
• No crash reports sent to us
• No cookies or tracking technologies

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or external APIs. There are no third-party services that receive your data.

6. Data Storage

All data is stored on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. Data persists locally and is included in your iCloud device backups if you have those enabled through your Apple account settings.

7. Data Export & Deletion

• Export: You can export your food entry history as a CSV file from Settings at any time.
• Deletion: You can clear your food log and chat history from Settings. To delete all data, simply delete the App from your device — all locally stored data will be permanently removed.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the App, please contact us so we can address the situation.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be reflected by a revised effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
